Both eth0 and eth1 are your ethernet cards, and thus have nothing to do
with the Yahoo!BB modem.  Do you really have 2 ethernet cards in your PC?

Show us your "lspci -vv" output.  Also, is there any mention of eth* in
your "dmesg" output?  What does "ifconfig -a" show on your current setup?

AFAIK there is no specific kernel option needed for DHCP.
