The zlib option is there since the (IIRC 3) duplicated zlib inclusions
have been reduced to one shared zlib in the kernel and this option is
only necessary if you don't have any one of those compiled in and want
to keep it possible to add them as a module later IIRC. zlib has been
in the kernel for a long time, but not as explicitly visible to
the admin.
