hello all linux users out there,
simple problem I'd like to solve:
- I'm connected to the net through an Arescom NetDSL1000 ADSL modem,
with Tokyo Metallic
- I'd like to be able to connect to my machine from outside, for telnet,
ssh, httpd, and other ports later on.
I could configure my router for IP port forwarding, but so far, I could
only get ftp working. although I specified forwarding for http, telnet
and ssh port, it seems it doesn't get past the router. telnet STOPS at
the router as I get the router login prompt.
is there anyone who has already gone through all this who could guide me
in the right direction ?
thanks a lot !
