Thanks for the comments & feedback.
A few general comments.
- I'm sticking with an Intel/AMD system, as I want to be able to trade
binaries between my office system and notebook.
- pointing device is not an issue; I alwys use a mouse.

Thanks. I'm warming to the Thinkpad. It's marginally dearer than the
Toshiba equivalent.
Oops - left out name:

Thin supply here, and I've heard too many bad stories.
I also liked the comment about having a Thinkpad without and Windblows
at all. Any downsides on that? (I'm tempted.)
