OpenAntiVirus looks promising for this and works pretty well at detecting the more common virii, but one reason I prefer Sophos over this on the main mail server is the frequency of updates. Sophos releases new signatures almost every day (a few hundred a month on average) while OAV's latest update is still dated July 1st (http://www.openantivirus.org/latest.php). The worst thing about Sophos is their ridiculous license, though that might be 'fixed' soon. - -- A.
