Thanks for the suggestions. I knew about options like turning DHCP off,
going interactive, etc. but frankly they are more hassle than waiting the 60
seconds or whatever. Fixed IPs is simply not an option - I regularly use
about 4 different DHCP servers, one of which is quite dynamic in its
allocations. The run-level suggestion looks interesting, but is a tad scary.
I may at some later date try dropping the dhcpcd timeout, I think the DHCP
server on my ISP in Australia is the slowest I use, but I'd like to time it
a few times before touching the timeout. For now, I'll just be patient.
