- From his previous posts, I think he has already read them. I was just
including that step since it is an essential one. It was meant to be a
summary and going into detail here would be a waste of time and no more
help than say 'man grub.conf'.

Thats true and I should have left out the -v, but again I assumed he
knows what lilo or grub basically are.
