Do you mean by bashing alot configuration options, we can obtain a smaller kernel? I have tried to do that but in most case, I got bigger kernel. I dont know why but when i use redhat or mandrake's default kernel config file, i get quite small kernel but if i do a "make *config" myself, the kernel become bigger and can not put on a FDD. #FYI, with the same kernel config file and 2.5.12, 2.5.13, bzImage is 1.1MB!!!
