FWIW, most things Japanese worked correctly for me from the beginning on Debian after I ran set-language-env from the command line. Fonts and printing caused me headaches, but Linux font and printing are basically headaches anyway, Japanese or no. -- Shimpei Yamashita http://www.shimpei.org/ You can't have everything.
