Dear Ahmed, First if you want to see where mysql is installed, type "which mysql". Next you need to startup the mysql database. First you can check if it is started up by looking for the process "ps -a". If it is not started go to the bin directory and find mysqlstartup. This might be the incorrect executables name but I know mysqlshutdown is how you shutoff the database. Type mysqlstartup and then verify that the DB is up. When I login to mysql to get this is what I use: mysql -u USER -pPASSWORD DATABASE Note: There is no space between the -p and the password. Check the docs for what the default login is and after you login and get the mysql prompt make sure to edit the table with the users information and create a new db. I absolutely have no idea about what this means. Can someone help? Thanks in advance.
