RE: Ethernet card: no response to pings




I believe that redhat keeps the default policies as ACCEPT, so this is
probably not necessary.  However, it certainly wouldn't hurt anything to do
so.

Shouldn't he then additionally do
ipchains -P input ACCEPT
ipchains -P output ACCEPT
and
iptables -P INPUT ACCEPT
iptables -P OUTPUT ACCEPT
afterwards ?
