Does the load average also go to near 1 (I suppose it must)?  Yuck!!

I thought I was going to go see the most arrogant programmer in the
world tomorrow, but it would seem not.  If you gotta get flamed, get
flamed by Drepper (at least _he_ lards his insults with content -- so
take notes when he flames you).

That thread had zero content after the original post, except that it
looks like the obvious guess, K = KDE, is wrong, and actually K =
kernel.  (Hey, Chris, next time don't pull the trigger until the gun
clears the holster, you're more likely to keep your foot intact.)

The kernel programmers are mostly smart, yes.  But remember, these are
the same guys who brought you VMM so stable that Alan Cox has gone
back to a 2.2 kernel for daily use last I heard.  They do make
mistakes.
