There has got to be a better way. B0Ti> http://uwsg.iu.edu/hypermail/linux/kernel/0012.1/0572.html I thought I was going to go see the most arrogant programmer in the world tomorrow, but it would seem not. If you gotta get flamed, get flamed by Drepper (at least _he_ lards his insults with content -- so take notes when he flames you). That thread had zero content after the original post, except that it looks like the obvious guess, K = KDE, is wrong, and actually K = kernel. (Hey, Chris, next time don't pull the trigger until the gun clears the holster, you're more likely to keep your foot intact.) B0Ti> http://sdb.suse.de/en/sdb/html/tami_kapm-idled.html "Don't worry, it's OK. Mama Microsoft^W^WSister SuSE knows what she's doing." Sheesh. The kernel programmers are mostly smart, yes. But remember, these are the same guys who brought you VMM so stable that Alan Cox has gone back to a 2.2 kernel for daily use last I heard. They do make mistakes. -- University of Tsukuba Tennodai 1-1-1 Tsukuba 305-8573 JAPAN Institute of Policy and Planning Sciences Tel/fax: +81 (298) 53-5091 _________________ _________________ _________________ _________________ What are those straight lines for?
