Thanks for the conf file but I don't think that's the problem. Mine is simple and only contains the basics. I can even get a look at a share that is marked as public ... My guesses so far a that it's a port problem (I doubt it because I can actually see the server using the windows explorer), or more likely a problem with user/password (i.e. I haven't configured the server properly to accept connections). Any help would be appreciated as this is driving me nuts.
