Linux with Windows2000

I finally have installed REDHAT LINUX 7 in my laptop.
I used to format my HD with NTFS which my LILO
can't seem to find but,....when I formatted my HD with
FAT32 the LILO can read it as Win95(actually Win2000)
and at the start up LILO gives me a chance to boot DOS.
Isn't it GREAT?!  I'm so happy about it.

Next I have another problem, I can't use my cdrom drive.
When I click cdrom icon there's a message saying:

mount:the kernel does not recognize /dev/cdrom as a block
devic(maybe 'insmod driver')

I installed RH from the cd. After I restarted the computer
with the cd in the drive I had to type

"linux ide2=0x180,0x386"

I learned it from the web don't know what this thing means.
Can someone tell how to get my cdrom drive work?

Liton
