I havent noticed any degradation on our office LAN with Samba since its 100Mbps, but I tried transfering files with Samba at home (10Mbps) and it was terrible. It was about 10 times slower than scp or NFS. The configuration is pretty standard, so it shouldnt be that. Sajjad
