I'll have to visit Otto, though you are right, the prices do seem a bit high. Particularly for the Hard Drive, I'd think getting a larger HD with the standard sort of connector, rather than the SCA, and just using duct tape or something like that to put it in the case would get a lot more bang for the buck. But I understand how nice it is to have things fit just right, and the SCA connector and the HD carrier Sun uses is quite wonderful. It's part of what makes working on Sun hardware "better." And for many uses, the 1GB is enough. I have Solaris 8 on a single 1GB, and it's fine for a number of purposes.
