Re: Column layout in TeX



Multicol works ok for column spanning figures, just like twocolumn. What one
has to do is:

\begin{figure*}
... the figure things
\end{figure*}

How ever, it seems that the figures that are just one column width, are
moved to the last page or totally dissapear. Also there I found a package
named 'abstract' that does the twocolumn spanning abstract thing, though it
does not woth with multicol.

For Martin's problem: have you looked at the graphix package? I know you can
place a table next to a figure, so...
