That depends on if you want scsi or ide. I have fond the iomega zipCD 8x4x32 to be most effective. however, all ide cdr/cdrw use scsi emulation under linux. this is quite easy though and be accomplished rather easily. all of which is explained in the cd writing howto in the ldp. although a quick note. you may want to ismod ide-scsi in /etc/rc.d/rc.modules and change it's file permissions so kudzu detects it. -----Original Message----- From: "shawn" <shawn@example.com> Date: Thu, 12 Oct 2000 11:01:39 +0900 To: <tlug@example.com> Subject: CD-RW > I am about to purchase my first CD-RW for a linux machine (going to > Akihabara tomorrow). > > Anyone got any favorite makes/models that will install easily under RH 6.2? > > Thanks, > > Shawn > > ----------------------------------------------------------------------- > Next Nomikai Meeting: October 20 (Fri) 19:00 Place: Tengu TokyoEkiMae > Next Technical Meeting: November 11 (Sat) 13:30 Place: LinuxProbe Hall > ----------------------------------------------------------------------- > more info: http://www.tlug.gr.jp Sponsor: Global Online Japan > > -- Get your free email from www.linuxmail.org Powered by Outblaze
