Ive been curious about something for a while now. Its not a big problem, but can be frustrating at times. Whenever Ive done a RedHat installation, connecting through ftp, telnet or secure shell takes a long time. My guess was that its inetd which takes time coming up, but ssh runs as a separate daemon so thats not it. I guess its something pretty simple. Thanks. SZ
