So far nothing has worked. Same result with that approach, have to manually
reload.

For myself, no, it is not a problem.  However, for some reason that is yet
obscure to me my boss preferred the scheme in question.  This project was a
first time educational experience, I will be starting on something larger in
which I can hopefully employ a more standard relationship and functionality
with the scripts and files.
