tlug: RedHat Upgrade Nightmare

Hi All,

Sunday night I tried to upgrade my box from RedHat 5.2 to 6.1. (Not a thing to do on a Sunday night...).
The main part of the install intself was uneventful, but on reboot, I get the following error:

init: error in loading shared libraries: /lib/libwcsmbs.so.0: undefined symbol: _ul_current_LC_NUMERIC

Oh yeah, and the install would not let me create a boot disk for some reason....
Can anyone help with this? I am getting pretty desperate after 3 days dead in the water...
