diff -y

I think this autowraps lines....

diff <(pr -t -T file1) <(pr -t -T file2)

That will probably cost you the context you need though.

There's a package called xdelta which is supposed to be better than
diffutils for binaries (it's actually a library for a revision control
system, IIRC).  If it can handle binaries and formatted text, maybe it
would do the job for you.
