tlug: Meeting agenda

As announced, the next TLUG meeting will take place this Saturday (12/12)
at Temple University. It will be our regular technical meeting and the
main topic will be Linux i18n/Japanization. Also in the agenda there are
some administrative issues that have to be discussed:

* elections -
  Craig Oda left Japan a couple of months ago and Joe Marchak had been
  in the TLUG Presidency since then. However, he had to resign (message
  [tlug-admin:1111] of 11/28) and I was appointed interim president, with
  Jim Schweizer as interim vice-president. In this next meeting we will
  issue a call for elections to fill the positions that are vacant and
  confirm the others. We also shall decide how the nomination process will
  be conducted. Right now, the TLUG Executive Commitee is as follows:

	president - vacant
	directors - Jim Schweizer
                   3 more vacancies
	other administrative:	treasurer - Tim Meggs
				librarian - Jonathan Byrne
				listmaster - Alberto Tomita
				snackmaster - Shigeo Honda
				system admin - Chris Sekiya (*)

      (*) Chris is the lead admin of a team that currently consists
          of Scott Stone, Jim Schweizer and himself.

* server -
  currently, the TLUG server has been running on hardware that belongs
  to Joe Marchak and to PHT. We have to build a new, our own server.

* venue for meetings -
  Joe Marchak had been hosting our meetings at HSBC facilities since
  August 1997 (our thanks to Joe and HSBC), but they will no longer be
  available. For the next meeting, Stephen Carter has arranged a room at
  Temple University, but we now must look for a new venue.

If you have suggestions/opinions/criticisms on these or on other aspects
of TLUG administration, let's discuss them at the meeting.
