It may be common knowledge for you, but personally I only knew you
worked at Amazon.

I've quoted Keith's email below: the "tis what I have done" bit makes it
sound like he is a customer, and therefore the "nifty" opinion can be
trusted as being an independent viewpoint.

You can sign up yourself and use EC2 directly. Tis what I have
done at least, just need to start using it  :-) Either way EC2 is
pretty nifty[1].
