I know. I really prefer open source in most cases. And as I said, I
haven't been over the MacroMedia license with a lawyer. But it seemed to
me that I would have contractual obligations to MacroMedia, but no way
to place independent contributors under similar obligations. So even if
I released the product under an open source license, I would be foolish
to use an open development process.

What I'd really like is for everyone to use SVG instead of Flash. But
for whatever reason, SVG is just not taking the market by storm.
