Hi, I wanted to enable some additional swap at the boot time, so added the folloing line into /etc/fstab to mount my swap file: /home/swapfile none swap defaults 0 0 Since swap -a is envoked before the file systems are mounted, I'm getting an error at startup: swapon: cannot stat /home/swapfile: No such file or directory And -- despite of that -- I have my swap file enabled (swapon -s)! (???) Is it better to enable the additional swap in /etc/rc.d/rc.local? Thanks. P.S. I'm running RH 6.0 ___________________________________ Viktor Pavlenko \\\ IMRglobal Tokyo ------------------------------------------------------------------- Next Technical Meeting: November 13 (Sat), 13:30 place: Temple Univ. * Network Security speaker: Steve Baur Next Nomikai: December 17 (Fri), 19:00 Tengu TokyoEkiMae 03-3275-3691 ------------------------------------------------------------------- more info: http://www.tlug.gr.jp Sponsor: Global Online Japan
