Hi, I've got a problem. I installed a NT workstation(preinstalled) to my office. I am running several Linux servers with Samba daemon working all right. From windows95/98 when I click Network Icon on the desktop I can see all those servers of course. And I can log in. Now, from this NT machine I can see other PC's(Microsoft pals), but not Linux servers!!! When I found that there was no Browser.dll in Winnt\system32\ I enlarged browser.dl_ of i386 into the directry. And pachted the system with a new service pack(ver.4). But still cannot see Linux. If I use LMHOST and search other computers, I can find Linux but then again I cannot log in. Do you think I have to fiddle with smb.cnf so that both NT and 95/98 can see the server?( I don't think so). Or do you think there is something wrong with this NT machine? As far as win98/95 can see Linux Servers, I am convinced Linux is okay. But at the same time, I cannot find anything wrong with my setup with the network protocol stuff in NT. If I could get some clue, or if there are folks who have had the same trouble, or any info, I would be glad. BTW, do you think workgoupe name in Linux should be all capital letters?(I don't think so either. hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm). I am ready to attach the NT network setup captured in a pic, and also smb.cnf when I need to do so. But now, I just give this as a general question. Thanks in advance.
