I've been pruning inetd.conf (the only things left are sshd, pop-3 and auth), but I don't know if I can remove the "auth....in.identd" line. What does it do? Darren P.S. A web search found a secure perl alternative for identd, as apparently there are some security holes: http://www2.merton.ox.ac.uk/~security/bugtraq-199809/0107.html ------------------------------------------------------------------- Next Nomikai: March 19 (Fri), 19:30 Tengu TokyoEkiMae 03-3275-3691 Next Technical Meeting: April 10 (Sat), 12:30 place: Temple Univ. ------------------------------------------------------------------- more info: http://www.tlug.gr.jp Sponsor: Global Online Japan
