OK, I got this brand new DDS-3 scsi dat drive. I got some 124m tapes for it. every time I try to write to one, I get 'read-only filesystem' errors. If I pop the tape out, it says, "no media found"... st module is loaded, scsi driver sees the tape drive. What's going on? I'm using /dev/st0 for the tape device (/dev/nst0 does same thing). Trying /dev/[n]st{123456} gives the correct 'device not configured' error. Should I just try some 90 or 120 meter tapes? -------------------------------------------------- Scott M.
