"allow" and "deny" are the commands to restrict by IP address. You can use them in a directory that requires a password, as an extra restriction. To let certain IP addresses through with no password and require a password for everyone else doesn't seem to be possible, but I'm not sure. If not, you could have two directories: directory A: has the allow directive directory B: has the password protection And maybe use symbolic links to save having to duplicate the whole directories?
