tlug: Compressed gzip files

Someone posted the following to the kernel mailing list.

How does one unzip it? I've tried pasting the garbage into a new file,
and applying gzip to it, but gzip complained it wasn't a zipped file. I
suspect there's some filter it needs to go through first.
