Hello everybody, According to Fredric's address I remembered an article about Mydata products on Linux Journal. I read it nearly a year ago. I was impressed. > We don't exactly use RedHat 4.1. I'm afraid those who looks at character based interface might think the inside CPU is 486. Your competitors are using GUI interface, aren't they? > > There are three codes in Japanese characters. They are 16-bit (JIS is 14-bit). More than 3000 characters are used in Japanese language. So it's impossible to use 8-bit codes. There are 8-bit codes to display parts of characters. But recently they are rarely used.
