I don't think so.  I'm not sure but all the packages seem to be kept
in the usual temperture in the plane, although outside is -50C at
10000 ft. high.  I have got some CD-Rs from U.S. or Germany via rush
(air) and they were completely okay.  They were all in jewel case.  I
think thin plastic folder would be okay if the overall packing is
completely robust for shock.

But actually CDs are physically vulnerable.  In that point, I think
Scott is right.
