Hi, I've been talking with some people who have a special keyboard and want it to be useable with Linux. It's a PS/2 keyboard and has some special keys and fairly different physical layout. Their application runs under X. For the past several years they've been making systems with HP hardware and apparently they had to write their own rather low-level keyboard driver. Does anyone out there have experience with this kind thing or know what's involved? Is it going to be just a matter of changing some X keyboard mappings, or is it something much more involved?
