I wasn't even compiling a standard TL kernel dist package, just downloaded
the source, patched aic7xxx and did the standard 'make config', then 'make
dep;make clean;make bzImage'... and installed into LILO.  LILO works, but
the kernel panics right after, apparently...  I'm 5500 miles away from the
server, so I can't check it and testing is a *bitch*.  esp. since nobody's
there to reboot it when I'm here in the office...
