Even there, we did our best to keep the machines above the sea :) Karl-Max> A prominent example is some stuff called "Cramolin" by Karl-Max> Schaefer KG here in Germany ( I tested it against pretty Karl-Max> much anything and nothing comes even close - they make Karl-Max> it since the twenties using the same secret formula ). Cramolin was what I was trying to remember. I never new it was made in Germany. It was standard practice that any time a card was replaced, it got a coat of Cramolin. I mentioned that you could clean the contacts with an eraser. I should give a warning with that. Its possible to "erase" the plating right off the card, so be gentle, using it no more than absolutely necessary. We usually used this as last step in a complex ritual to exercise daemons of unknown origin out of the machines, with maybe a 25% success rate. We could have done better, but because of the raised flooring, sacrificial lambs were prohibited :) Andy -------------------------------------------------------------- Next Meeting: 8 August, Tokyo Station Yaesu central gate 12:30 featuring Linux on multiple platforms: i386, Sparc, PA-Risc, Amiga, SGI, Alpha, PalmPilot, ...
