The docs are pretty skimpy, but since there were some Mozilla folks at the I18n conference last month, I think the kinput2 issue shows that they are at least listening to Linux users, if not actually incorporating code from them. I suppose there will be some more info available from the various news sites in the next few days to answer these questions better than I can. > And are you saying Andreesen was against releasing the source? I don't know him personally, so can't say for sure. :-) However, it was a pretty risky move for a company with a limited line of products. I'm sure he had his share of lost sleep over the decision.
