Hi.

Some time ago I saw a couple of messages in the TLUG list
regarding the Haauppauge WinTV/PCI video capture board
have been using a newer version of the Brooktree video
decoder. Did anybody confirm you if the Linux bt848 driver
works with these newer boards?

Here at the lab we are looking for a video capture board to
digitize some tape footage in color. At the university I
used a Matrox Meteor, but now I need to assembly a new system,
and the PCI WinTV seems to be a better (and less expensive)
solution.

By any chance, does anybody know where I can find this
Hauppauge bt848 board here in Japan (Akihabara?), and its
price?
