tlug: RH 5.1 and CDE 1.2

After several hours of hair pulling I finally got it to work.  My
problem was, I had reinstalled RH 4.2 and CDE 1.2 but couldn't get the
upgrade to RH 5.1 to work.  I then upgraded the 4.2 kernel to 2.0.32,
vice the 2.0.30 which came with the distribution, and the upgrade worked
like a charm.  

I still don't have the login function working, but I guess I have
something left to keep me out of my wife's hair.
