I know. Know their story by heart...well almost. That was our
point of departure. It was founded by Tom Grundner of Cleveland,
OH. After some stupidities, the PSTN Inc. ( Public Service
Telecommunications Networks ) went broke after the US Government
pulled the plug on subsidies. We didn't want to follow them
because they wanted $5000 for using the term "Freenet" and
coined our own term, "Buergernetz" and protected it. The
trademark now belongs to the Bavarian Government.

I was one of the prime movers and shakers of that back then.
Other prominent movers and shakers were Marc Meis, Walter F. Kugemann,
Bertram Gebauer and - not to forget - Ralph Pollinger.

Marc Meis and me are founding members of Buergernetz Muenchen.

I told you I can tell you endless stories.....
