Hi,
have a look at http://www.research.digital.com/wrl/itsy/.
DEC is introducing a new handheld computer whose performance is
supposed to be one order of magnitude higher than the PalmPilot.
It is called Itsy and the software is based on the Linux OS and  
standard GNU tools.

Sounds like fun.
