Well, of course.  If he had Debian, he wouldn't have a problem.  :)

Since he does have a problem, he apparently has reason not to use
Debian.  (I haven't heard a good one yet, besides beta-testing a
buddy's package :), but my job is learning.  I'm listening....)

Well, how's he going to install a .deb on an RPM system without alien?
