Hello, My office computer with Win95 can perform web, ftp, etc... from Netscape through a proxy server >From my linux partition, I cannot make a ftp ftp.debian.org. The answer from a colleague is "You need an authorization for a command line ftp outside". (That's too funny, not only it takes one month to receive an authorization, but I doubt I receive any.) But I am sure the Linux community has found a solution to this. If there is no solution, I guess upgrading packages in the debian distribution would consist in 1) downloading them in DOS 2) install them from Linux But I would like to learn a proper method. Please teach me how!
