Hmm, I never tried it through IP masquerading, but I vaguely 
remember that ange-ftp has a number of Emacs variables,
which can be used to set ports, proxies, and stuff.  If you
need some special command to be issued while building the
connection, I guess you have to configure some of these
variables.
