Just as a kind of experience report concerning my previous question about blind dialing. I tried ATX3 and it worked fine (on the 3Com Etherlink III), but interleaving ~ to force a pause after dialing the 0 (to get out of the `private branch exchange') and before starting the rest of the number, didn't work for me. But due to some vague recollection of my early modem days, I tried , (a comma) after the 0 and that worked well.
