I've always been kind of intrigued by this one.  Does anyone know who is to
blame for it?  What astonishingly misguided dictionary writer or other naive
person :-) is responsible for popularizing this awful misinterpretation?  I
even once saw a brand of soap or shampoo (can't remember which now) called
Naive, which made me wonder what would happen to me if I tried it :-)
Needless to say, I didn't.

Then there's the fly fishing vest I bought at a sidewalk shop in Yurakucho
one time.  Only 3,000 yen and a pretty nice vest, the only problem being the
brand name, which is in inch-high letters on a big patch that I removed from
the front: Geek :-)  I'll scan that patch some time and display it on my
home page :-)
