Jim, did you want to start on the Pacific HiTech archive or the GLOCOM one first? I think that for PHT, you could probably send Scott a private e-mail to get the server address and password and then make a few practice directories in a temporary directory. Then, I think we should solicit proposals for an FTP directory structure. I think this is going to be critical to the use of the archive. I kind of like the debian structure. RPMS/ base/ i386 instimage/ I guess there would be high level directories and stuff for other distributions. What I was thinking was to copy the entire TLUG FTP section on to TLUG CD-Rs for sale at meetings. --------------------------------------------------------------- Next Nomikai: 15 May Fri, 19:30 Tengu TokyoEkiMae 03-3275-3691 Next TLUG Meeting: 13 June Sat, Tokyo Station Yaesu gate 12:30 Featuring Stone and Turnbull on .rpm and .deb packages --------------------------------------------------------------- a word from the sponsor: TWICS - Japan's First Public-Access Internet System www.twics.com info@example.com Tel:03-3351-5977 Fax:03-3353-6096
