The last time I tried latex2html it worked on a short document.

However, I have been having serious problems with latex2html
ever since I upgraded to Debian hamm.  I can't get it to
work on my Linux-Nihongo doc with RedHat 5 either.  It will
do some of the sections, but not all.   It used to work a long
time ago.  If you have latex2html working, did you want to 
try to process my LaTeX source?

The output from latex2html with a one line Japanese message
is included for you ref.
