People call me a lot of things, but that's not one of them :-)

I was just reading that the sendmail 8.9 beta will be released on Monday,
and the final is expected in early April. I guess that will give us an
ideal chance for building an rpm and applying it to our server. 8.9 is
supposed to have a bunch of new anti-spam tools.

I agree completely. What kind of drive do you have in mind? DAT, or
something else? At home I use a Conner (now Seagate) SCSI drive that is
native 2 GB, up to 4 GB with compression. It runs 25 - 30 meg per minute on
a Fireport 20 and has been completely reliable for over 2 years. This drive
is now also available in an 8 GB version. The external one is a bit steep,
about 75,000 yen at T-Zone, but a tape drive with enough capacity to let us
do an unattended backup on one tape is going to set us back a bit. I'm not
sure if internal versions are available, but could check. I would imagine
they are. I'm not sure how this compares price-wise to DAT. 4 mm DAT
maybe wouldn't be too much more, but how much can you fit on one tape?
