Well, it should work, but maybe the Riva128 drivers still have some bugs.
I only know that DGA works with our drivers for the bt848 grabber cards.
But we only use it to get some informations about the location of the graphic
card`s memory and the size of the screen etc., like:
  if (XF86DGAQueryVersion(disp, &major, &minor)) 
    XF86DGAGetVideoLL(disp, DefaultScreen(disp), &(new->TVscreen.vbuf.base),
                      &rwidth, &bank, &ram);

And that seems to work on the Riva128.

I haven`t tried anything else, though.
